The best-known application of solar heat is a solar boiler, with solar collectors on the roof and a hot water buffer in the house. The (antifreeze) liquid that runs through the solar collectors transfers its heat to the tap water in the boiler via a heat exchanger. A reheater (gas or electric) heats up the hot water further if necessary. This means that legionella does not stand a chance and the shower is always warm.
